Zano has announced that the latest version of its wallet now includes optional SOCKS5 proxy support, giving users another way to strengthen their privacy.
By routing wallet traffic through a proxy such as Tor, users can add an extra layer of network-level privacy on top of Zano’s built-in protocol-level privacy. The feature is opt-in, meaning users can choose whether or not to enable it.
According to the Zano team, the feature isn’t enabled by default because using Tor requires users to have a Tor node or Tor Browser running, which may not be part of every user’s setup.
